Respiratory Support

Elite equine athletes move a tremendous volume of air in and out of the lungs while exercising and competing. The airflow velocity for a human is 4 liters per second while the average hair dryer moves 40 liters per second. The flow rate for an exercising horse is 64-79 liters per second. For a strong finish in a competitive event, a horse needs to maintain a healthy respiratory system.

Respiratory problems often result when the airways become reactive to environmental conditions such as pollen, dust or mold.
